Unleavened Bread Recipes
"Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven out of your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel (Ex 12:15).”
Veg-Cheese PieCrustCrust: Preheat oven to 375ºF. Butter a 9" pie pan. Heat 1 c water to boiling in medium saucepan. In small bowl mix 1 1/2 c yellow cornmeal with 1 c cold water, then stir into boiling water and cook over low heat for 5 minutes until thick. Remove from heat. Stir in 1/3 c grated Parmesan cheese. Form cornmeal mixture into crust in pie pan. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Reduce heat to 350ºF. |
FillingSaute 1 large clove minced garlic, 1/2 c finely chopped onion, 1/2 c sliced bell pepper and 1/2 c sliced mushrooms in 1 T olive oil for 5 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and add 1/2 t basil, salt, red and black pepper to taste. Spread on crust. Arrange 1/3 lb sliced mozzarella cheese and 1 medium sliced tomato on top.
