Unleavened Bread Recipes


"Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven out of your houses, for if anyone eats what is leavened, from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel (Ex 12:15).”


Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Ingredients

1 c sifted whole wheat flour
1/4 t salt
4 T oil
1/3 c milk
2 T yellow cornmeal

Directions

Sift together dry ingredients, except corn meal. Combine oil and milk and add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened—just till dough follows spoon around bowl. Turn on to lightly floured surface and knead 5-6 turns. Roll to 14" circle. Pat onto a generously greased 12" pizza pan sprinkled with cornmeal. Crimp edges. Bake 5 to 8 minutes at 350ºF. Take out of oven and set aside while you prepare your favorite pizza toppings and sauce. Bake as usual.
