An Open Letter

to D—

Greetings D—,

You wrote the following:

Yahweh is King, with a government, and no government ever existed without law, certainly not Yahweh. It is because of violation of the Law why Satan is called "the Lawless one.” And we ought not to teach as you have taught, the Law Is a Transcript of Yahweh’s charter. To dent [sic] that the law ever existed, is to dent [sic] Yahweh’s character.

______________

In June 1969, when Apollo 11 landed men on the moon, I was about thirty miles outside of Decatur, Indiana, on my way east from Oregon to visit relatives—aunts, uncles, cousins—I hadn’t seen since 1956. And I arrived at my aunt’s house in time to see Americans be the first humans to walk on the moon. Everyone was up watching the live broadcast from the moon … a seemingly impossible barrier had been broken. Suddenly, everything was possible.

A few days later, I journeyed to eastern Kentucky to visit my dad’s oldest brother, a mostly unannounced visit. My uncle, Floyd Kizer, was in the middle of writing a religious article, and didn’t feel that he really had time to talk. He made a little time, then sent me after a big bass he had in a pond in his lower pasture. I had caught tons of salmon and thousands of trout, but I had not caught a bass so I took advantage of the opportunity while he returned to what he was writing … I have never read any of his writing so I have no opinion about either the content or the quality. But I have read a little of Dad’s writing in the form of wartime letters published by the Bluffton News Banner in 1943. He was an adequate writer, so I suspect his oldest brother was also an adequate writer, both of them being products of Petroleum High, the location of the school being a corn field in 1969. (All twelve grades were in one building, and it was there where I did first and second grade.)

What Uncle Floyd wrote remains unknown. His then two still-living brothers and three sisters [Dad died in 1958] didn’t know he wrote religious articles; so there was no theological discussion within the family.

I’m beginning this open letter to you with an anecdote that lays the base for saying I’m not surprised that my siblings don’t know what I write or even why I write … writing is a means of personal discovery, a meaning of learning what wasn’t previously known, what hasn’t yet been thought. And in that respect, I want to encourage you to continue writing; to continue your theological journey.

But from the snippet of your writing that’s available to me, you are too far from where I am for me to support your work in any meaningful way, such as proofreading a book-length manuscript.

Actually, I believe that you should know more than you apparently do: why would you eat the leavening (follow the teachings) of Pharisees and Sadducees by assigning singleness to the linguistic determinative <YHWH>?

Not even unbelieving Jews ever pronounced the Tetragrammaton YHWH; yet in the snippet you have added vowels [aspiration] to the consonant cluster, with consonants tending toward silence by their interruption of vowel streams at certain places … inscription of only consonants is inherently “silent” inscription. Inscription of Semitic languages is silent inscription. You as the auditor have to add vowel sounds to the inscribed consonants before words can be formed, meaning that you as the auditor have to know what words are represented by inscribed consonant clusters before you begin reading a Semitic text. And it is for this reason that Moses read what he wrote aloud to Joshua:

So Moses said to Joshua, "Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand." So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven." And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The LORD Is My Banner, saying, "A hand upon the throne of the LORD! The LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation." (Ex 17:9–16 emphasis and double emphasis added)

Without Moses having recited (read aloud) when he wrote, Joshua wouldn’t know for sure what vowel sounds should be attached to the consonant clusters that Moses inscribed in a book (scroll).

The words endtime disciples would seem to have received from Moses are not without alteration/redaction.

Again, there is no sound imbedded in Semitic inscription, no vowel stream disclosed, no aspiration; so when the Tetragrammaton YHWH is too sacred to be pronounced—the Tetragrammaton YHWH was never pronounced by Israel for it was a linguistic determinative when Moses wrote—how is, A hand upon the throne of the LORD! The LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation, to be read aloud?

The hubris required for a Messianic Christian to add vowels to the Tetragrammaton YHWH is virtually unimaginable … in adding vowels to the consonant cluster <YHWH>, the Messianic Christian tramples the Tetragrammaton into the mud, transforming the divine into the common, the utterance of vulgar tongues that bless God but also spew forth profanities when pizza deliveries arrive cold.

Just because a person believes that he or she knows how to write doesn’t mean that the person should write.

Before adding your personal hubris to the redaction undertaken by unbelieving Jews during the Deportation, you should know that <Elohim> is a regular plural noun representing [Eloah] + [Eloah] an undetermined number of times, with the Tetragrammaton YHWH disclosing the number of multiples found in <Elohim>: two multiples, [YaH + d~n + WaiH], with <d~n> being the Chaldean glyph representing “another such.” Thus, in Judaism singing <Adonai> in lieu of attempting to pronounce the linguistic determinative <YHWH>, Jews retain in their collective memory knowledge of the determinative. They are not illiterate. Nor do they have enough hubris to attempt to pronounce the Tetragrammaton that represents both the Most High God that Israel never knew and His Beloved, the One who Created all things physical, with the opening verses of John’s Gospel giving you the same information.

In [primacy — arche, without a definite article] was the Word [’o Logos], and [’o Logos] was [pros — “with” or “of”] [ton Theon — the God], and [Theos — God, without a definite article but sharing the article for “the Logos”] was [’o Logos]. [This one] was in [primacy] [pros ton Theon — with the God]. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:1–3)

Definite nouns require definite articles in Koine Greek. But when two nouns name the same definite “entity,” these two nouns can share one article as is the case in the third clause of the first sentence in John’s Gospel … the God [ton Theon] that has “definitancy” (a made-up word) through possessing the definite article that is linguistically able to serve alone as a pronoun for the naming phrase (objective case), ton Theon, is one “definite” entity. This deity is linguistically separate from ’o Logos that also has definitancy through possessing its own definite article that it shares with Theos in the third clause, thereby making ’o Logos a God of equal primacy with ton Theon. And this is what Paul writes, “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men” (Phil 2:5–7 emphasis added)

The God of Abraham—the God of the Old Testament—was the Creator of all things physical; was the Beloved of God; the spiritual Rock that followed Israel out from Egypt (1 Cor 10:4); the life and light of men (John 1:4) … the God of Abraham entered His creation as His unique Son (John 3:16; 1:14), the man Jesus the Nazarene. He became the firstborn Son of God the Father when the spirit of God [pneuma Theou] descended in the bodily form of a dove upon Jesus and entered into Him (Mark 1:10) after John had raised Jesus from a watery grave in the River Jordan. The man Jesus became the firstborn Son of the Father when He was twice-born, or born from above through receiving a second indwelling breath of life, the glory of God.

The Messianic Christian who has poisoned him or herself on the leavening of the Pharisees and Sadducees will deny that the Creator of all things physical divested Himself of His equality with “the God” [ton Theon] and entered His creation as His unique Son, thereby committing blasphemy against the Father and the Son … this blasphemy can be forgiven, but in committing this blasphemy, the Messianic Christian will have denied Christ to this world. Christ in turn will deny the Christian to God the Father, saying that this is a person He doesn’t know. Indeed, He doesn’t know this Christian who doesn’t know Him.

Your use of bastardized Hebrew names needs to stop immediately …

Moses read aloud his writings to Joshua who was tasked with remembering what Moses read … madrassas in, say, Pakistan are Islamic seminaries tasked with teaching students the Qur’an through rote memorization. They also teach other Islamic subjects such as Tafseer [Interpretation of the Qur’an], Hadith [sayings of Muhammad], Fiqh [Islamic Law], and Arabic as a language. But the primary task of madrassas are to cause students to memorize the Qur’an so that they as the next generation will be able to properly assign vowels to the inscribed consonant clusters representing Muhammad’s visions.

It is with the next generation where Semitic inscription has its flaw …

Islam can be a peaceful religion if these vowels are assigned to consonant clusters, but Islam can also be a religion of war and unceasing conquest is these other vowels are assigned to the same consonant clusters—and so it is with Hebrew inscription that to be read must be taught to every next generation by the preceding generation. In other words, for Israel to read what Moses wrote about Amalek, Joshua had to read aloud the words of Moses and cause his sons to recite these words of Moses that were only inscribed as silent consonant clusters. Then the sons of Joshua had to read aloud the words of Moses and cause their sons to recite the words of Moses by adding to the inscribed consonant clusters received from Moses the sound of human speech that Moses had put with the inscribed clusters.

If any generation neglected to read aloud the words of Moses and neglected to cause their sons to recite these words of Moses, the words were lost: all that would remain were silent consonant clusters.

What American Christians fail to understand about Pakistan madrassas is that rote memorization of the Qur’an is essential to keep the words of the Qur’an from being lost to history, as the words of Moses were lost under the kings of ancient Judah.

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath. And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in all the way of David his father, and he did not turn aside to the right or to the left. In the eighteenth year of King Josiah, the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, son of Meshullam, the secretary, to the house of the LORD, saying, "Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money that has been brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the threshold have collected from the people. And let it be given into the hand of the workmen who have the oversight of the house of the LORD, and let them give it to the workmen who are at the house of the LORD, repairing the house (that is, to the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons), and let them use it for buying timber and quarried stone to repair the house. But no accounting shall be asked from them for the money that is delivered into their hand, for they deal honestly." And Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, "I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the LORD." And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it. And Shaphan the secretary came to the king, and reported to the king, "Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house and have delivered it into the hand of the workmen who have the oversight of the house of the LORD." Then Shaphan the secretary told the king, "Hilkiah the priest has given me a book." And Shaphan read it before the king. When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes. (2 King 22:1–11)

How long had the Book of the Law been lost in the dilapidated temple? Evidently for quite a while, for endtime disciples find in the following chapter,

And the king commanded all the people, "Keep the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant." For no such Passover had been kept since the days of the judges who judged Israel, or during all the days of the kings of Israel or of the kings of Judah. But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah this Passover was kept to the LORD in Jerusalem. (2 King 23:21–23)

If no Passover as Moses commanded in the Book of the Covenant had been kept in Israel since the days of the judges, then even when Israel had the Book of the Covenant available to be read, the words Moses wrote and that he had recited to Joshua been lost during one of the generations when Israel was ruled by judges.

Josiah’s zeal for the Lord; Josiah’s war against the idolatrous practices of Israel was hampered by many generations having not recited the words of Moses, thereby losing the words of Moses that lay as skeletons in the recovered Book of the Covenant. And as anthropologists attempt to reconstruct ancient humanoids from skeletal remains, doing a better job of reproducing hominids in the past three decades than could be done three centuries ago, modern linguistics could have done a better job of recovering Moses’ words, lost to history since the days of the judges, than Imperial Hebrew scribes could do in the Deportation when the writings of Moses were redacted to eliminate the possibility that Israel would again succumb to the idolatry of plural deities worshiped by Israel’s pagan neighbors.

The leaven of Pharisees and Sadducees caused these sects seeking purity to deny the God of Abraham, which is why Sadducees expressed amazement when Jesus said that the God of Abraham was not the God of dead ones:

The same day Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection, and they asked him a question, saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.' Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother. So too the second and third, down to the seventh. After them all, the woman died. In the resurrection, therefore, of the seven, whose wife will she be? For they all had her." But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not God of the dead, but of the living." And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching. (Matt 22:23–33)

If only the God of Abraham existed, there would be no resurrection of dead ones; for the God of Abraham is the God of living persons, not dead persons. Thus, an inherent conflict is both created and resolved when Jesus in John’s Gospel says,

For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom He will. The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. (John 5:21–23 emphasis added)

The Father raises the dead without judging the dead; thus, the Father is the God of dead ones … according to John’s Jesus, the Father is not and cannot be the God of Abraham, who is not and was not the God of dead ones. Rather, once the Father has raised the dead, Christ Jesus will, in judging those raised from death, either give life—as in receiving a glorified body—to the ones raised from death or deny life to ones the Father raised from death. It is the Son who marries the Bride of Christ, and the Son doesn’t have to marry anyone who dishonors Him; who doesn’t believe Him. And we have arrived at perhaps the most important statement Jesus in John’s Gospel makes: “‘Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life’” (John 5:24).

There is a distinction between a Christian raised from death by the Father after the fleshly body of the Christian has died physically, and a Christian raised from death by the Father before the fleshly body of the person dies physically. The Christian raised from death after the body dies will be judged by the Son:

Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear His [the Son’s] voice and come out [from tombs], those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. (John 5:28–29)

But the person who hears the word [logos] of Jesus, not of the Father, and believes the Father who sent Jesus into this world, does not come under judgment for this person has passed from death to life … but how? By being foreknown by the Father, predestined, called by Christ Jesus, justified by Christ Jesus dying for the person while the person was still a sinner (Rom 5:8), and glorified by the indwelling of the spirit of Christ in the spirit of the person. This person will be numbered among the Elect for whom time will be cut short:

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. (Matt 24:21–22)

Unfortunately, of all who have eaten the leavening of Pharisees and Sadducees very few ever recover from ingesting this hyperactive member of the fungus kingdom: most wither on the vine as if they were grapes attacked by the black rot fungus, becoming mummified, hard inside, of no use to anyone.

Equally unfortunate is the reality that the person who has been poisoned by the Sacred Names Heresy sincerely believes that he or she has a higher understanding of the divine than those Christians who will not eat the leavening of Pharisees and Sadducees.

The antidote to the leavening of the Pharisees is in the realization that during the days of the judges, one generation of Israel did not read aloud the words of Moses to that generation’s offspring; did not cause their sons to recite the words of Moses. Hence, the “life” that was in the words of Moses was lost to all future Israelites—lost until Christ Jesus brought these words of Moses to another nation of Israel, a nation in whom He dwelt, a nation that has the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16).

I don’t have time to work on manuscripts written by the spiritually dying victims of the poisoned leavening of Pharisees and Sadducees. Plus, neither the Father nor the Son presently rule over the earth, which is what Revelation 11:15–18 and 12:7–12 disclose.

You live in a demonstration to prove to angels and to participants in the demonstration that self-governance and transactional economies will not work, but will always lead to death. Transactions always lead to inequities that produce war even when self-governance seems to work. The inequalities of this present world—and they are too many to list—stem from the Adversary being the still reigning prince of this world; for all authority in heaven and on earth has NOT yet been given to the Son of Man.

You will have to recover from the poison of the Sacred Names Heresy, a poison of the Adversary, before I involve himself in your work. Right now, you don’t know enough to write even though I suspect you have something to say and have something that ought to be said.

Paul wanted whomever brought to Galatia the teaching that a person needed to be a Jew in the flesh [circumcised in the flesh] before the person could become a Jew in the spirit to mutilate himself [to castrate himself] … the teaching that physical utterance [modulated sound waves] has spiritual significance is as grievous a teaching as that of Christian converts needing to circumcise themselves before they can be spiritually circumcised. Whomever—and I know whom, have known since 1972—brought to Sabbatarian Christians the Sacred Names Heresy is doubly accursed: the Heresy kills infant sons of God, has killed quite a few, and may have already spiritually killed you. I hope that’s not the case.

But if you can’t see that what is physical doesn’t matter; that gender is simply the plumbing of the house in which a son of God dwells; that skin color is simply house paint, then it is unlikely you will grasp that how a word is pronounced or not pronounced doesn’t matter with God. I hope you have more spiritual understanding than to continue eating magic mushrooms that addle minds, thicken tongues, and cause spiritual blindness of the sort Isaiah attributed to Israel:

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am! Send me." And He said, "Go, and say to this people:

“Keep on hearing, but do not understand;

keep on seeing, but do not perceive.”

Make the heart of this people dull,

      and their ears heavy,

      and blind their eyes;

lest they see with their eyes,

      and hear with their ears,

and understand with their hearts,

and turn and be healed." (Isa 6:8–10 emphasis added)

Spiritual portions of couplets are indented.

If you place importance on what is physical, from wealth to utterance, you remain a son of disobedience regardless of whether you strive to keep the Law. If you have love for neighbor and brother, regardless of who your neighbor is or regardless of what your brother does, then there is hope for you. I, however, have only seen a couple of people escape from the Sacred Names Heresy, and one is a pastor who is with us … he saw the problem through his congregation having less and less love for those who are of the world, and he was smart enough to realize that isn’t how Christianity is supposed to work. He was also, after shepherding a congregation for 25 years, finally being called by God.

I suspect you’re being called, and I suspect the Adversary came after you with poison when he became aware that you were being called … we have a fellow with us that is now in Chicago, who when he came back from Afghanistan got in trouble with drugs and has had to serve some time. He went to bed one night messed-up, but woke in the morning changed, woke up wanting to get right with Christ in a way that’s seldom seen. He has had to pay for his past, which probably would have gone unnoticed except for the Adversary taking an interest in him. Apparently, you, too, have attracted the attention of the Adversary.

I’ve known for a while that you ate the poison of the Adversary, and I cannot really help you until you realize that the Tetragrammaton is plural, and is not a naming noun; that unbelieving scribes redacted Scripture after the Book of the Covenant was found during the reign of Josiah. Until then we would be at odds over what the Tetragrammaton YHWH as a “sign” represents.

Respectfully,

Homer Kizer
